The Challenge
To create a brochure web site to help marketing the services of this travel agency. This agency is catering to Japanese tourists interested in horses and horseback riding. The site needed to be in English and Japanese, easy to maintain by the client via tools like Adobe Contribute and it should contain a contact form and a newsletter tool.

The Solution
The solution was a static web site following the client’s color requests. For maximum compatibility the layout was done via HTML. To keep the code line clean color and font formatting was done entirely with style sheets. For easy maintenance include techniques utilizing SSI were used. For the newsletter an existing Open Source solution was implemented. This approach kept development time down while providing the client with a proven and well programmed solution.

For the newsletter an existing Open Source solution was implemented. This approach kept development time down while providing the client with a proven and well programmed solution. The form handler is SjMK Design’s own solution.

Vacations in the Tetons

The Challenge
“Vacation in the Tetons” was a private web site showcasing a condo available for rent. The challenge was to create a simple but pleasing web site which would run on an AOL member owned web space.

The Solution
The solution was a web site based on static pages due to limitation of the AOL web space. The site included contact information and a photo gallery showcasing the condo.

Knöddelmeister

The Challenge
Knoeddelmeister.com is a bilingual (German and English) guinea pig web site It was established in 1998. The web site includes different areas such as an informational part, a photo gallery, a ‘My Pigs’ area, and soon to be established a guinea pig gift store and site search.

The Solution
SjMK Design created a clean design with navigation elements that are easy to understand. On top of each page are links to the main areas, the left hand navigation represents the information available in the respective area. Structure and layout are consistent throughout the site to make it easy for visitors to get around. Layout, font styling, and coloring was accomplished through CSS. CSS was chosen, to create a fast loading web site, which will be accessible with any kind of browser.

The Challenge
sjmk|dot|net is a small web site dealing with Linux and other issues. A journal type software should be used to power the site. The site should not be overloaded with graphics.

The Solution
To maintain ease of use WordPress was installed as the content management system. Layout, font styling and coloring are handled by stylesheets. A custom contact form was added.

Orange County Cavy Haven is a guinea pig rescue organization based in Southern California. Work for the Orange County Cavy Haven involves regular updates of the web site content, as well as editing and improving of guinea pig photos for display on the different areas of the web site
